The first thing we need to do is read our articles. This exercise teaches them to locate the main parts of the story, such as the setting, plot and primary characters. When groups have finished early they can come up with 3 new things they learned from their article.

I just save the template on our shared drive so they can do some typing if they finish up before other groups. This lesson is a project that is completed after each of the mini-lessons listed above.
